Stone Communications will help you craft and deliver the most convincing business stories — through creative marketing, your own spoken words or videos.
Greg Stone carries “street credentials” from the years he spent as a journalist to every assignment.
He began his career as a writer at Time Inc. in New York, and later worked as a TV reporter in Minneapolis, Boston, and on PBS. Greg estimates he has conducted at least 15,000 interviews.
Turning down an offer to anchor at CNN in New York, Greg founded Stone Communications in 1989. Since then he has been a communications and media consultant for high-level executives at Fidelity, IBM and 3M; deans at Harvard University; rocket scientists at the Smithsonian; inventors at the Worldwide Web Consortium; four spokespeople facing interviews on 60 Minutes and numerous political leaders. Greg often travels to New York on assignment, and has also conducted sessions all across the US and in England, South Korea and Albania.
As a recognized expert, Greg has guest-lectured on media relations at Harvard Business School where he is currently media training many faculty members.
In addition, he has written and directed hundreds of productions, ranging from 30-second commercials to corporate videos to feature films. His professional honors include three Emmy Nominations.
Ever curious about other cultures, he studied French, Italian and German as an undergraduate, earning a BA degree with honors from Harvard University, followed by two master’s from Columbia University in journalism and business.
Greg resides just outside Boston with his wife, daughter, son and a rescue dog aptly named Happy.
